The frame above was recently completed for Steve. It is a 26 inch cross country frame that uses 100 mm of rear travel. In order to get the right top tube length for Steve's particular desire and to soothe his fetish for titanium, the front triangle was fabricated from 3/2.5 and 6/4 at the Quiring Cycles shop location. The rear swing-arm came from Ventana USA (http://www.ventanausa.com/). Ventana is well known for their durable high quality full suspension designs (all pivots are sealed cartridge type). The CNC machining on the aluminum swing-arm is very trick and the welds are top notch. I plan to expand my framebuilding to use other Ventana rear swing-arms as well. These include rear swing-arms for 29'ers, 650b, and tandems in various lengths of travel. Also it is possible for me to build either steel front or titanium front triangles. I am currently working on making a couple custom sized 7005 aluminum framed 29'er tandem as well. If any of this is something of interest to you, please feel free to contact me at squiring@sbcglobal.net. ---Scott Quiring More pictures of this custom Full Suspension Quiring built frame can be seen here http://www.quiringcycles.net/igallery/igallery.asp?D=\full+suspension+using+ventana+rear+swingarms\steve's+26+ti+100+mm+travel\ |
